Who builds ScanX, and how to reach us

We built the first version of this for one engineering firm that kept finding out in November about a package that had closed in September. Not because the tender was hidden, but because it was published on one of four organisation lists nobody reads, under a buyer name that did not match the one they knew.

The thing that surprised us was how little of the problem was about search. Most of it was about deciding what not to send. The first rules file matched hundreds of rows, which is the same failure as matching zero, in a shape that looks like success.

So the product started as subtraction: a document opened and read before a row is allowed through. It has grown from there, because the firms using it asked for the next step each time. More portals, then buyers' own tender sites, once defence and PSU buyers were in scope. AI that has to quote its evidence, once keyword rules hit their limit. Analytics, once there were enough decisions to count. For contractors with several divisions, the book, the Monday brief and an assistant that answers from both. And now, in pilot, a bid-fit engine that learns from a firm's own past bids.
