Government tenders by industry: where each trade's work is published
ScanX is not built for one industry. A workspace is a rules file written for your firm, the sources your buyers publish on and a delivery channel. Below is where each trade's tenders actually appear and how many were open on 4 October 2026. Each trade's page has the portals, the buyers and how every figure was counted.
Figures below are counts of what ScanX reads, measured 4 October 2026 at 02:13 IST, not of every tender in India. CPPP is read as a sample and Defence eProcurement only in each tender's last week, and each trade's page says how every portal is read.
In production
Electrical and power
HT and LT switchgear, cables, transformers, DG sets, lighting, lifts and fire systems.
Electrical work is spread across more portals than any other trade: central works departments, state utilities on GePNIC, power PSUs and GeM, often with the same procurement listed twice.
Where CPPP, CPWD, state portals on GePNIC, GeM, power PSUs and utilities.

Solar and renewables
Rooftop and ground mounted plants, supply, EPC and operation and maintenance.
Solar tenders are easy to find and hard to sort: supply, EPC and operation and maintenance arrive under the same words, and a solar firm usually wants only one or two of the three.
Where CPWD, GeM, CPPP, state nodal agencies and PSUs.

In production
Mechanical, fabrication and machining
Valves, pumps, gearboxes, hydraulics, castings, forgings and work to drawing.
Mechanical and machined parts are where keyword search fails most often. GeM cuts titles at 99 characters, and many bids are titled only with a stores code, so the words that matter are in the item list or the document.
Where GeM item lists and bid documents, shipyards, ordnance units, research labs.

Atomic energy, space and research
Special alloys, instruments, electronics and development work for DAE, ISRO and DRDO units.
Research buyers publish in small volumes across several places, and some of their most relevant notices appear only on their own sites.

Civil, marine and public works
Buildings, fencing, marine structures, water and sewage works for central and defence buyers.
Works contracts are published mostly by central and defence engineering services, with marine works split between ports and the Navy.

Facility services and AMC
Annual maintenance, operation and maintenance and manpower contracts, separated from supply.
Maintenance and service contracts are a different business from supply even when the equipment is the same, so ScanX judges the contract form separately from what is bought.
Where Every source, sorted by contract form rather than by what is bought.

Electronics and instrumentation
Sensors, controls, test equipment and panels for PSUs, labs and the forces.
Electronics buying overlaps defence, research and utilities, which is why it needs rules by product rather than by buyer.

Your trade is not listed
If your buyers publish on GeM, CPPP, CPWD, Defence eProcurement or a PSU portal, a rules file for your firm takes one call to write. If they publish somewhere we do not read yet, we will tell you on that call, and whether an adapter for it is possible.
