How to find a CPPP tender by its Tender ID

Somebody sends you a CPPP link, you click it, and the portal says the URL is invalid. The tender is still there. The link was never going to work for you.

Measured 21 August 2026. Published 23 September 2026.

CPPP has no shareable tender link. The detail page address carries an encoded blob that works only inside the browser session that produced it. Opened from an email, a WhatsApp forward or a bookmark, it returns “Invalid Url. Please Check”. We tried supplying every part of that blob by hand, including a fresh timestamp, and it still failed.

So the only thing about a CPPP tender that travels is its Tender ID. This is how to use it.

The five steps

  1. 1. Open the CPPP latest active tenders page

Go to https://eprocure.gov.in/cppp/latestactivetendersnew. This is the listing that carries the search form, and it covers both the main CPPP streams and ePublishing.

  2. 2. Leave the two dropdowns alone

The form offers an Organisation dropdown and a Product Category dropdown. Do not set either. A Tender ID is unique on its own, and a dropdown set to the wrong organisation returns nothing.

  3. 3. Type the Tender ID into the box labelled Keyword

Paste the Tender ID exactly as you received it into the single text box, which the portal labels Keyword. There is no separate Tender ID field on this form.

  4. 4. Type the image code

The form will not submit without the characters from the image beside it. If you skip it the page reloads with no results, which looks exactly like the tender not existing.

  5. 5. Search, and expect one result

A correct Tender ID returns one tender (the portal shows Total Tenders: 1). Open it from there; the detail page asks for an image code of its own. If you need to come back later, keep the Tender ID, not the URL of the page you are on.

Searches run against the CPPP latest active tenders form on 21 August 2026. Both streams are indexed by that one box.

The two ways this goes wrong

The ID goes in the wrong control. With two dropdowns and one text box, people pick the organisation first and then type the ID, and a mismatch between the two returns an empty list. Leave the dropdowns blank.

The image code is skipped. The form fails without saying so. An empty result after a skipped code is the portal refusing the search, not the tender being gone.

Either one produces the same empty page, and the natural conclusion is that whoever sent you the tender got it wrong. They probably did not.

Why ScanX sends the ID, not a link

Every CPPP and CPWD row in a ScanX digest carries its Tender ID and one line saying which box to type it into, and links to the search page rather than to the tender. A link that fails teaches people not to click the next one. GeM rows are different: the GeM bid document opens directly without a session, so those rows link straight to it.

If the tender is not found at all, it is probably not on CPPP. Our answer on missing tenders lists where else it can be, and the four CPPP organisation lists explains why the portal itself does not agree on who publishes there.

ScanX reads all of this every hour and sends you the rows that match what you build.
